Create or join a workspace
Create your workspace, select or switch workspaces, or join with an invitation token.
Choose the workspace where you will work with your team. You can create your own workspace or join one using an invitation token shared with you.
Before you start
Sign in. To join an existing workspace, ask the inviter for your one-time token and sign in with the email address they invited.
Create a workspace
Who can do this: anyone signed in to Watification.
Open the creation form
Select Create workspace from the workspace selection page or the workspace switcher. If you have no workspaces, Watification takes you to the creation form.
Set the name and slug
Enter Workspace name. Watification suggests a Slug from the name. You can change the suggestion before creating the workspace.
Use lowercase letters and numbers, with single hyphens between words. The slug must be unique across workspaces.
Create and open it
Select Create workspace. The new workspace becomes your selected workspace and the dashboard opens. You are its owner.
Choose your slug carefully. After creation, General shows Slug as read-only. You can rename the workspace later.
Select or switch workspaces
On Select a workspace, choose the workspace you want to open. If you have just one workspace and no valid selection, Watification selects it automatically.
In the dashboard, open the workspace switcher at the top of the sidebar. Its button displays the current workspace name. Under Workspaces (1), choose another workspace. You can also select Create workspace (2).
Your role and available actions can differ between workspaces.
Join with an invitation token
Sign in with the invited email
Use the email address the inviter entered. A different email address cannot accept that invitation.
Open the acceptance address
On the dashboard site, open /invitations/accept?token=YOUR_TOKEN, replacing YOUR_TOKEN with the complete token shared with you.
If opening the address takes you to sign-in, finish signing in, then open the invitation address again.
Wait for the workspace to open
The page accepts the invitation automatically. After acceptance, Watification selects that workspace and opens the dashboard.
Troubleshooting
- Invalid invitation link means the address is missing its token. Ask the inviter for the complete token.
- An invitation can be expired, revoked, or already used. If acceptance fails, share the displayed error with the inviter.
- If workspace creation fails, check the displayed error and your slug before trying again.
Next, take the dashboard tour. To invite someone else, see members.
