Notifications

Choose In-app, Email, and Browser notifications, use the bell, and allow browser notifications.

Choose how you receive updates in your current workspace under Settings > Notifications. Use the bell in the dashboard header to review the notifications you can see.

Before you start

Select the workspace whose preferences you want to change. Your available notification types depend on your role.

Who can do this: any member can set their own preferences for the notification types their role allows.

Choose your preferences

Open Notifications

Open Settings > Notifications. The Notification preferences table (1) shows your available types.

Choose delivery channels

For each row, select or clear In-app, Email, and Browser. These control the bell list, email delivery, and browser alerts respectively.

Save changes

Select Save changes (2). If saving fails, your edits are kept so you can try again.

Choose delivery per notification type, then save.

Available types

Each cell below means you can choose that delivery channel. It does not indicate your saved preference. Your table only includes rows your role allows.

Conversation and message types require permission to view conversations. Message template updates require permission to view message templates. Account notices require permission to view channel connections. Payment alerts require permission to view the subscription. Webhook alerts require permission to manage webhooks.

Review the bell popover

Select the bell in the dashboard header. Its badge shows your unread count in the selected workspace.

Use Unread (1) for unread items or All (2) to include read items. Opening an item takes you to its destination when available; it does not mark the item as read. Use Mark as read on an item or Mark all read (3).

Opening a notification and marking it read are separate actions.

Read state is shared in the workspace. Marking a notification as read also marks it read for everyone who can see it.

Allow browser notifications

Request browser permission

In Notifications, find Browser notifications. If permission has not been requested, select Enable browser notifications and allow notifications in the browser prompt.

Enable the types you need

Select Browser for the desired types and select Save changes. Browser permission and your saved preferences are both needed.

Troubleshooting

  • Blocked: allow notifications for the dashboard site in your browser's site settings, then return to Watification.
  • Browser notifications need a supported browser and an open dashboard tab. They do not arrive after all dashboard tabs are closed.
  • A visible, focused conversation can suppress its browser alert.
  • No notification types available: ask your owner to check your role.
  • Emails for message types are sent once per burst, rather than once for every message in that burst.
  • If the unread count fails to load, select Retry count in the popover.
