Message usage

Review a phone number's sent and delivered messages, billable volume, and approximate Meta costs over time.

Open a number's Message usage to review messaging activity and pricing figures from Meta. Use the range filter to compare recent activity or look at a longer period.

Who can do this: the workspace owner or members whose role includes viewing channel connections.

Choose a reporting range

Open Message usage

In Channels, open the account, select Phone numbers, and choose a number. Select Message usage.

Change the range

In Date range (1), choose Last 7 days, Last 30 days, or Last 90 days. The default is Last 7 days. The range includes today and uses UTC dates.

Review totals and daily activity

Read the summary and daily chart. Hover over the chart for daily values, or open View daily data table (2) below it to read the daily counts in a table.

Choose a period, then compare the summary with daily activity.

FigureWhat it shows

DeliveredTotal delivered messages in the selected period.
ReceivedTotal received messages when Meta supplies received counts for every day. Otherwise, a dash is shown.
Delivery rateDelivered divided by sent, shown as a percentage. A dash appears when there are no sent messages.
Billable volumeVolume from pricing categories other than Service (free) and Free entry point.
Approximate costMeta's reported cost in the account currency, when cost is available.

Pricing by category lists the category, volume, and approximate cost. The chart shows Sent and Delivered, plus Received when the received counts are available for every day.

These are approximate figures from Meta. Your invoice is the source of truth. This page is separate from your workspace's plan usage.

Troubleshooting

  • Pricing can fail to load while message analytics remain available.
  • For an account billed through a partner, cost can be unavailable. A dash does not mean the cost is zero.
  • If there is no pricing activity, the page says No pricing activity for this period. Try another range if you expected activity.
  • If the whole report fails to load, use the retry control shown with the error.

See account overview for the messaging limit and quality rating.
