Ad welcome messages
Create the welcome content for a Click-to-WhatsApp ad and attach it in Meta Ads Manager.
Create an ad welcome message to greet customers who open your Click-to-WhatsApp ad. Set the welcome text, an optional prefilled customer message, and quick replies here, then attach the saved message to the ad in Meta Ads Manager.
Before you start
Open Channels, choose your WhatsApp account, then select Ad welcome messages under Get customers. You also need access to the ad in Meta Ads Manager to attach or disconnect the message.
Who can do this: the workspace owner or members whose role includes viewing channel connections. Creating, editing, and deleting ad welcome messages require managing channel connections.
Ad welcome messages are separate from Enable welcome message on a phone number's Automations page. Saving an ad welcome message here does not attach it to an ad or enable the number's welcome setting.
Steps
Name and write the message
Select Create message. In Create ad welcome message, enter Name (1), up to 256 characters, and Welcome message (2), up to 1,024 characters. Both are required.
Offer ways to respond
Enter Prefilled customer message (optional) if useful, up to 1,024 characters. Select Add quick reply (3) to add up to 3 replies, each up to 80 characters. Each added reply needs text; use its remove control if you do not need it.
Review and save
Check the WhatsApp-style preview, then select Create message in the dialog. The message appears in the account's list.
Attach it to your ad
Open Meta Ads Manager and attach the saved welcome message to the Click-to-WhatsApp ad. Watification creates the welcome content; attachment is completed in Ads Manager.
Edit or delete
Select a message's Edit action, update the fields, and select Save message. To delete an unused message, select its delete action and review the confirmation before continuing.
A message marked Used in an ad cannot be edited or deleted. Disconnect it from the ad in Meta Ads Manager first, then return to Watification.
Troubleshooting
If saving fails, check the required text and character limits, then read the dialog error. Meta can reject content even when it fits the form's limits. Use Previous and Next if the list has more than 10 messages.
