Signup links
Create WhatsApp subscription links, share them for your phone numbers, and enable or disable signups.
Create a signup link to invite customers to subscribe to your WhatsApp messages. You set the invitation, confirmation, and privacy policy, then share the link for a phone number in your WhatsApp account.
Before you start
Open Channels, choose your WhatsApp account, then select Signup links under Get customers. Have your privacy policy URL ready. You need a synced phone number to share a link.
Who can do this: the workspace owner or members whose role includes viewing channel connections. Creating, editing, enabling, and disabling signup links require managing channel connections.
Steps
Write the signup messages
Select Create signup link. Enter Signup message (1) and Confirmation message (2), up to 300 characters each. You can add Display name (optional), up to 256 characters, to help your team recognize the link.
Add your policy and optional offer
Enter Privacy policy URL (1), starting with HTTP or HTTPS. You cannot change it after creating the link. Website URL (optional) must start with HTTPS.
If you add Promo code (optional), use up to 50 letters and numbers. Select Insert promo code to add {{promo_code}} to the confirmation message. This is the only supported placeholder and needs a promo code value.
Review and create
Check the preview. Read the WhatsApp Business Terms of Service and select I accept the WhatsApp Business Terms of Service. (2) when required, including for the account's first signup link. Select Create signup link in the dialog.
Share the correct phone number's link
Each available phone number has a signup link and QR preview under the saved signup. Use the copy control beside the number you want customers to reach.
Edit or pause signups
Select the link's Edit action, update the fields, and select Save changes. The privacy policy URL is read-only. Blank optional fields retain their existing values.
Select the status action beside a link to disable or enable it. A disabled link cannot accept subscriptions until enabled again. Signup links have no delete action.
This page manages signup links. It does not show a subscriber list or import subscribers into your workspace's contacts.
Troubleshooting
If the create button is disabled, check message lengths, URL formats, promo code, and the terms checkbox. Meta may report that signup links are unavailable for this account; read the error before trying again.
If no phone links appear, sync a phone number from the account's Overview. Use Previous and Next to browse the list when it has more than 10 links.
